We live in a small town in the north of Ukraine. It is the youngest city in Ukraine
Apparently, almost everyone has heard about the disaster at the
Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. And it was this misfortune that caused the
appearance of our city.
It was built by representatives of different republics of the former USSR and all of them contributed
their own peculiarities to the architecture of the city
Here you can see completely different projects of
residential buildings, sports centers, kindergartens, schools...
Tbiliskiy,
Yerevanskiy,
Tallinnskiy,
Ryzkiy, Kyivskiy, Dobryninsky, Vilniusky, Chernihivsky, Polissky ... Everyone will find
something to their taste
The town became a new home for ChNPP personnel, engineers, inventors
of various industries, and foreign staff. The city lived a life full of joyful and sad events.
But one day the city woke up to the sounds of explosions and
sirens. It was a full-scale enemy invasion of our land. After a few days, the
inhabitants of Slavutych realized that they were surrounded. No food, no
medicine... only the sounds of flying planes.
One day we heard the sounds of heavy military equipment and close combat on the outskirts. For three
days, battles raged in the suburbs, the guard company of the Military
Commissariat and the city's territorial defense unit restrained the enemy's troops,
trying to prevent the invaders from entering the city, but the forces were
unequal. The soldiers were ordered to withdraw so as not to destroy the city.
People came out to meet the Russian troops, but not with
flowers, but with Ukrainian flags and curses. The occupiers were in our city
for 3 days and, fortunately for us, retreated with the main forces, as they
were knocked out of the region.
Now Slavutych is trying to catch up and live its normal life, although the war
constantly reminds us about itself
But anyway, life goes on. We believe that everything will be fine.
